Dear Friends,

Please let artists and crafts people know about the availability of studio space in Long Valley. There are several bedroom sized studio spaces, some larger, some smaller, in a beautiful old house at 18 Schooleys Mountain Road in Long Valley. It has gallery space as well, and great light. It's a great space for painters, designers, and or artists who want to share a space for a reasonable price. There is an open house next Saturday, Feb. 2 from noon – 3:00. Come and meet other area artists to see the space and discuses the possibility of starting an artist co-op or association. For more information email arts@scottidesign.com

John Sebastian, David Grisman Two well traveled and musicians sit back and just play

This CD features John Sebastian, David Grisman in the most natural of settings. The songs, all classics in their own right, were basically recorded live with just a couple of microphones. The playing is engaging and can suck you in instantly. The vocals sound a little road worn. They have a charming older gentleman sitting on a porch sound. Not that the vocals are bad it is just next to such vibrant playing they sound a little old. John Sebastian and David Grisman do their best singing with their instruments. For me this CD is all about the instrumentals. The playing is full of taste, craftsmanship and whimsy. In this case the picture on the CD cover really reflects what the CD will sound like. I particularly enjoyed the sprinkeling of blues tunes mixed throughout the CD. And Pssst... Don't tell anyone but there is a cool little version of John Sebastian's "Daydream" hidden in the last track starting at 3:0
